Usually “major” smart phone and tablet games are sub-par (pun intended), but Need For Speed: Most Wanted is nothing of the sort. Everything from the graphics to the gameplay was beyond my expectations. I’ve played many racing games on mobile devices and I can easily say this is the best to date.

The controls were surprisingly super easy to pick up and were very responsive. Auto acceleration enabled, simply tilt your device to turn, hold the right side of the screen to drift, swipe up for nos, and tap the left side to break (hold to reverse). Simple as that. I instantly found myself drifting through the streets with ease.
The game features a real music soundtrack with real songs, none of that BGM stuff. The car’s audio sounds weren’t anything special, I feel I’ve head them before in other mobile games, but that’s not to say they didn’t do their job.

The game play itself is vast, filled with plenty of events and vehicles to purchase with in-game MONEY you earn from races. A unique aspect of this game is that all the Speed Points (SP, the game’s XP) you earn get accumulated into your total SP if you’ve played the game on any other platform and signed into Autolog. For example, I’ve beaten NFS:MW on PS3 and have over 1 million SP on that game. Once I signed into Autolog on my S3 that total appeared in-game and I could continue to rack up my Speed Points.
While there is no free drive or multiplayer, there is the Autolog system that you can compete with your Origin friends to get the best scores. This was a little disappointing, but honestly it was expect.
